To give you a clearer picture of the standards of our products, we have created this page to briefly explain the GreenGuard and GreenGuard Gold Certification.

GREENGUARD Certification from UL Environment

What is GREENGUARD Certification?

GREENGUARD Certification ensures that a product has met some of the world's most rigorous and comprehensive standards for low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into indoor air. There’s an increase in demand for healthier and more sustainable products within the construction industry and GREENGUARD Certification gives that added assurance to specifiers that products adhere to stringent measures.

Volatile Organic Compounds from building materials contributes to deteriorating indoor air quality. Indoor air quality is important to health and is therefore recognised as a key component when specifying in homes, schools, healthcare environments and commercial spaces.

GREENGUARD Gold

GreenGuard Gold certification offers stricter certification criteria. It considers safety factors to account for sensitive individuals (such as children and the elderly). It also requires lower tota VOC emissions levels to ensure that a product is acceptable for use in environments such as schools and healthcare facilities.
